HELP

The following steps will guide you through the process of booking a cottage. Please note that if you need help at any time you can call our local reservations team on 01580 720 770 who would be happy to guide you through the process or take your reservation by telephone.

  1. Click on the 'Book Now' button. This is an orange button located down the left hand side of the page.
  2. Use the drop-down menus to select how many nights you would like to go for, the month, what day you would like your holiday to start, the number of adults, children, infants and pets.
  3. When you have selected when you would like to go an availability listing will appear below the menu along with the price for the specified period. Where a line appears in green this means the property is available, or a grey line signifies that the property is already booked.
  4. Once you have found when you would like to go and would like to proceed to book the property, click on the orange 'Book This' button to the right. This will begin the booking process.
  5. There are 4 steps to the booking process. The first requires you to enter your details into the form provided. Please click on the orange 'Next Step' button at the bottom-right once you have fully completed the requested information.
  6. The next step requires you to enter the names and approximate ages of all the people staying at the property. Once complete, please proceed by using the orange 'Next Step' button.
  7. The third step summarises the total price including your booking fee and allows you to mention any specific requests you may have in the box provided. You will also need to specify how you would like to pay for your cottage, by either paying now by using a credit or debit card, or later by phone, bank transfer or cheque. You must also tick the box which confirms you have agreed to our terms and conditions before clicking on the orange 'Pay Now' button to proceed to the final step.
  8. If you have chosen to pay by credit or debit card please complete the information in the boxes provided then click on the orange 'Complete' button.
  9. A booking confirmation page will appear and you will be sent an email with a breakdown of costs and details of your arrival/departure dates. Please note, if you have chosen to pay later then this booking is provisional and you must contact us within five days to arrange payment.

Old Lantern Apartment occupies the first floor of an ancient traditional English country Inn set in the heart of the picturesque village of Martin about 5 miles from both Dover and Deal. This quiet Inn is well known for serving superb home cooked food and offers a range of interesting ales so guests who do not wish to cook for themselves can simply pop down stairs to the pub and enjoy relaxed evening meals. With a private entrance at the side of the Inn and stairs up to apartment it feels secluded and is bright, spacious, furnished and equipped to a very high standard.The village itself is surrounded by beautiful countryside with footpaths, cycle routes and the pebble beach at St Margaret's Bay is just 3 miles away whilst sandy beaches at Sandwich and Broadstairs are a little further.  Explore the area and enjoy visits to the Cathedral City of Canterbury, Walmer, Deal and Dover Castles and the many gardens, vineyards, animal parks and pretty villages in this part of Kent. This is an excellent location for golfers with courses nearby including Walmer and Kingsdown, Princes, Royal St Georges and Royal Cinque Ports. Shop: 2 miles  Pub: 0 miles Coast: 2.7 miles

First Floor:
Open Plan Sitting/Dining Room has views over the large pub garden and is comfortably furnished with a three seater sofa, a two seater sofa and matching chair. There is a dining table and 6 chairs, bookcase, TV (with Digi Box), video, CD, DVD and a selection of books and games
Kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine
Bedroom 1 is a family room and has a king-size, zip and link bed that can be divided into twin beds, bed side tables, a single bed, a chest of drawers, a large wardrobe and TV
Bedroom 2 has a double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and wall mounted TV
Bathroom has a bath, hand-held shower, separate shower, washbasin and w.c

Garden: Old Lantern Inn has front and rear gardens with tables and chairs and a large play area for children.
Parking: There is parking behind the Inn.
Heating: Gas central heating.
Notes: The Inn is a popular place for families and does not have juke-boxes or live music so although it is possible to hear some noise from the customers in the pub and in the gardens this tends to be fairly low level and the pub usually closes before 10.30pm. Please contact owner before arrival if you require the beds in a different arrangement than as specified above.
