Rookery Nook is a charmingly converted outbuilding just behind the owners' handsome house. It is approached from the main road that leads from Hastings to Rochester but backs onto fields so you can easily forget the bustle of traffic in a peaceful rural setting. The cottage is a short distance from the historic market town of Cranbrook and very close to Sissinghurst Castle Garden where Vita Sackville West and Harold Nicolson created their wonderful, world famous gardens, now managed by the National Trust. Rookery Nook is an ideal location from which to explore the beautiful Weald of Kent and, with Staplehurst just up the road, has easy rail links to London, Canterbury and the coast. Many original features have been retained and the furniture has been thoughtfully chosen to complement the unique character of the historic building creating a comfortable and attractive cottage for two.
